Following the processing of your direct debits
Direct debit processing is monitored in two stages:
Step 1: Enable the transmission of Chargeback reconciliation report.
The chargeback reconciliation log lists the rejected SEPA direct debit capture operations.
Examples: debtor account format error, closed account, insufficient funds, unknown client.
- In Merchant Back Office, open Settings menu > Shop > Reports.
- Click the Chargeback reconciliation report tab.
- In the General settings section, select the frequency from the Report frequency drop-down list.
You must enter a generic e-mail address to ensure that if the main recipient is absent, unpaid invoices will still be processed (see: Managing chargebacks).
Step 2: Reconcile transactions.
When sending the direct debit file, the transaction appears in the Captured transactions tab of the Merchant Back Office. Its reconciliation status is “To be analyzed”.
After three interbank business days without a chargeback notification, the payment can be considered as debited.
You can then manually reconcile it by right-clicking the transaction.
