Give the authorization
In order to receive payments, you must grant permissions.
To do so:
- Sign in to the Merchant Back Office:
- Click Settings > Company > Merchant IDs tab.
- Select your PayPal contract.
The PayPal contract details appear.
- Click Give the authorization.
The PayPal authentication page is displayed.
- Sign in using your PayPal login and password.
The e-mail address is populated by default.
Monetico Retail does not store your login credentials.
- Follow PayPal’s instructions. Depending on your contract, PayPal may ask you to perform additional actions.
- Click the button to return to your Merchant Back Office.
The permission is granted.
- Click Save. The granted permissions:
- The paymentsThey correspond to PayPal permissions:
- Use PayPal for processing my clients’ payments.
- Proceed to authorize and collect the payments of my clients.
- Search and access the corresponding transaction details.
- Refunds (if you have refund permissions in your profile)They correspond to the PayPal permission:
- Making a refund for a specific transaction.
- Payments by token (if you have the option)They correspond to the PayPal option:
- Reference transactions
This permission allows to receive recurring payments automatically in your PayPal account.

- If the Reference transactions option is enabled in PayPal and the Payment by token option is not enabled in Monetico Retail, the Payment by token permission is greyed-out.
- If the Payment by token option is enabled in Monetico Retail and the Reference transactions option is not enabled in PayPal, the Payment by token permission is greyed-out.
- If the Reference transactions option is enabled in PayPal and the Payment by token option is not enabled in Monetico Retail, the Payment by token permission is not displayed.

Once the permission is given, the Give the authorization button changes to Update permission.
