Analyzing the payment result

The payment result analysis is described in the chapter “Implementing the IPN” of the Hosted Payment Page guide.

The values returned specifically for a PayPal payment are:

Field	Description
vads_trans_status	Status of the transaction. See chapter Transaction lifecycle.
vads_authent_paypal_protection_eligibility	Type of merchant protection used for the transaction. `ELIGIBLE` Merchant is protected by PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy for unauthorized payments and Item Not Received. `PARTIALLY_ELIGIBLE` Merchant is protected by PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy for Item Not Received. `INELIGIBLE` Merchant is not protected by PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy for Item Not Received.
vads_auth_result	Result of the authorization request. A value different from 0 corresponds to a refused payment. The details of the error returned by PayPal are available in the Merchant Back Office in the transaction details section. The details of the error are available in the Merchant Back Office in the transaction history.
